This is a VERY nicely restored Waterloo Boy Type K throttle governed gas engine. It is fresh from an old collection where it was tucked away for many years after it was restored. It sits on a factory Waterloo cart correct for this engine. The cart is also correct for the 3hp John Deere Type E engines. The engine is in great shape and was gone through and restored by a previous owner. Everything seems to be nice and tight and there are no cracks, breaks, or repairs anywhere that I can see or know of. The paint and pinstriping has held up very well with only some minor blemishes. It has decent compression even after sitting for many years and very little wear anywhere on it. It has the original Waterloo serial tag, original muffler, and also the crankguard which is usually missing. The magneto looks to have a fresh rebuild. This engine appears 100% complete and I don’t see anything it would take to run other than some fresh gas, and possibly your favorite cold beverage! Although I haven’t tried to run it, a previous owner ran it several years ago and it ran great. This is a great engine to add to your early hit and miss gas engine display or John Deere machinery collection. The pictures tell the story. You won’t be disappointed in any way! I can deliver this for free to Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, or Baraboo, WI, engine shows or swap meets later this year.
