When I found this governor at an antique store, there was no detail as to what type, model, size, or any other significant details about it other than it being a “steam engine governor”. So do not know if this would actually be a working piece. There is a marking “JE4″ just below the small copper bowl on the horizontal shaft. Have tried to find the exact one online but have had no luck. It appears to be in excellent condition (no rust) & has been well taken care of. The belt wheel does turn freely rotating the two vertical fly balls. It is a beautiful piece of history and decided to make as a display piece via the steampunk lighting add-ons. The board it’s mounted on is 24″ L X 7 1/4″ W. Height to top of the valve handle is 19. As shown, weighs just over 30 lbs. If bought as is, the valve handle, wire bulb cage & vintage Edison LED 40 watt bulb will be removed and packed separately.
