Vintage Long Frame Maytag Engine Model 92 Motor 1928 Single Hit Miss Runs! Here is a nice original Maytag 92. One of the best running 92′s that I’ve owned. It does have a new spark plug. These Maytags can be a bit temperamental at times, but once you get the carb set right for starting, it will start and run nice. Someone did repair one of the broken mounting lugs, but if you ask me they did a pretty nice job. The flywheel also seems to have been repaired. I’m not sure why or how, but I think it was in the area of the serial number, so I can’t date this one. I have decided to leave this in it’s “work clothes”. You can choose wether you’d like to restore it further. It does have an older restoration and I’d say it’s show ready. I own several of these Maytags in my collection, and they are a great hobby.
