This is a rather hard to find Eisemann GV4 4-cylinder base mount magneto for an old tractor. These were used on several Caterpillar tractors and possibly other tractors. It is fresh from an old collection where it lived as a spare. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It appears to have been rebuilt some time ago and not used since. It is clockwise rotation. It mounts on a 2 x 2 inch square bolt pattern and the mounting threads are in great shape. It has no noticeable bearing wear and turns over very nicely with good magnetic pull and the impulse works as it should. Everything inside the points cover looks to be in great shape. It puts out a hot, snapping spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. This magneto is ready to be used on an engine or put on your shelf for a future project. These early Eisemann Caterpillar magnetos in this condition are tough to find so if you need it don’t miss it. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it.
