This is an original early brass ignitor for an old hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It mounts with two holes 3 inches apart on center. The slug that goes into the engine is about 2 in diameter. Judging by the orientation of the primer hole and trip finger it I think it is for a vertical engine. This ignitor may fit several sizes or models of engines. If you know for sure please educate me! The points could use renewal and it needs a pinch bolt in the clamp. Everything seems to move and function as it should and with just a little work it should be ready to go to work in an engine. If you’ve been looking for a brass ignitor like this don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up! Let the pictures be your guide. You’ll like it.
