This is an old 1 1/2hp International Harvester Type M gas engine. It has been in a collection for many years. It will need a full restoration and is missing some parts as you can see. The head has a broken push rod holder but the piece is in the hopper. It also has a broken governor yoke and repaired pulley side flywheel. There is also a slight crack on the air intake. There is no piston in it but a connecting rod and cap are included. The flywheels turn as they should. It would be a pretty straightforward project and M parts are quite readily available. If you need a winter project here one is. I can deliver this for free LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, next year. 1 1/2hp John Deere Hit Miss Gas Engines. Very Nice Original & Parts Engine NO RESERVE!!!! Here is a pair of 1 1/2 horse power John Deere Hit Miss Gas Engines. With an extra head assembly, plus flywheels with crank and gear. I have included many photos to show their condition. As can be seen they are both barn fresh. One has the nicest original logo that I have ever seen. I think the new owner will find loads of original paint under all of that. This engine has good compression for being old dry and untouched for many years. The mag shaft turns freely when the flywheels are turned. It has a very old repair on the ignitor. I do not see any other cracks or repairs. As can be seen the trip lever spring is missing and one of the. Flywheels has about a 1/16 of an inch runout. I don’t think it will take much to get this engine going. The rougher engine has a bit of compression for being dry and untouched. As can be seen it is missing a few parts. The ignitor is cracked. This is the only crack that I can find on the engine. The extra head has a broken and twisted ignitor. I have to many smaller engines, that I have been tripping over. Cluttering the barn that need to go. Keep checking my other auctions for no reserve barn fresh engines. Please call if you need additional information. This is a real nice original cast iron clutch pulley for a 2 1/2hp Mogul or 3hp Type M gas engine made by the International Harvester Company. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except one repaired spoke on the carrier. A very nice job was done and it’s very tough to notice especially when it’s on an engine. Everything works as it should and there doesn’t seem to be very much wear anywhere on the pulley. It has new wooden shoes installed and is ready to go to work. The pulley has a 4 1/2 inch face and is 10 inches in diameter. It has a 1 3/4 inch bore to fit on the crankshaft. It is a factory pulley for 2 1/2hp Mogul or 3hp M as shown in the parts books. It will fit on other engines with a 1 3/4 inch crankshaft as well. Please measure your engine to be sure it works for your application. These original clutch pulleys are next to impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they really set an engine off! They also make it much easier to run belt driven implements with your engine. If you’ve been looking for one to complete a restoration here’s your chance. Original clutch pulley goes with the engine. No cracks breaks or welds are known. Some peening on flywheels. Original fuel and cooling tank, fine tooth standard timing gears. Last run in the 1970′s. Date stamped on the end of crankshaft 7 31 02. One wheel on cart has been fabricated repaired. Here is a true barn find 1 1/2 HP Economy hit & miss engine. It is as found un touched and unmolested. Engine is NOT stuck and turns freely, There is not much compression at this time but it is all dry from sitting. As you can see this engine is complete and has a fair amount of paint still visible, with a bit of cleaning and tinkering I think this engine can be is show condition in no time at all. Here a collection of tools that I got with a 12hp IHC Famous years ago. Regardless it is a neat old display that looks great with an engine. Check out the pictures and decide if you need it. Here’s what it is, 10 pieces. 1 Wrist pin socket wrench marked IHC and GA245. 5 Open end wrenches marked IHC and G3173, G3166, G3172, G3171, G3170. A chisel marked IHC. An adjustable wrench marked IHC. The display is about 19-1/4″ x 17-1/2″. Everything seems to be in great shape. Most items will go out faster though. I have many good parts and pieces I will be listing in the next few months. I try to do a very good job of listing everything I sell in a very accurate manner to explain all the good and bad points with the pictures and in the description.
