VERY nice original International Harvester Type L rotary low tension magneto. Several applications including 1 1/2hp and 3hp Type M engines with ignitor ignition, 1hp Titan/Famous and possibly others. It’s in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of except for brand new threaded inserts in the mounting holes. Included with this repair are bushings for the holes in the engine and the correct bolts to mount the magneto. It turns over smoothly with excellent magnetic pull. I just charged the magnets and it puts out a very hot spark that will surely run your engine if set up properly. It mounts with two holes 2 inches apart on center. It has a 36 tooth gear and dust shield on it for the 3hp M which could be swapped out for the correct gear for your application as needed. It has the original name band on it and it’s ready to go to work on an engine or would be a great spare on the shelf for the next time you need one as they just don’t come along very often! These IHC Type L magnetos are quite tough to find especially in this condition so don’t miss your chance if you need one for any reason. Let the pictures be your guide. You’ll like it. This is an original 3-needle fuel mixer or carburetor for a 3hp International Harvester Type M gas engine. It should fit both the ignitor fired engines and the spark plug fired engines. It is a good core that should easily be rebuildable. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of except for the venturi which is always broken upon disassembly. It needs some needles and other internals which are readily available from several of the hobby suppliers. It should be a very straightforward project. It has a 30 tooth gear on it for the 1 1/2hp M which could be swapped out for the correct gear for your application as needed. It has the original name band on it and it’s ready to go to work on an engine or would be a great spare on the shelf for the next time you need one as they just don’t come along very often! This is a rather hard to find original ignitor for a 1 1/2, 3, and 6hp International Harvester Type M gas engine. It is in good, as found condition from an old collector’s estate. It mounts with two holes 2 3/4 inches apart on center. It appears to be complete with the original springs and electrical connections. It needs to be freed up and could stand a set of points but this should be a pretty straightforward project. It will make a very nice usable ignitor. If you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up! Let the pictures be your guide. You’ll like it.

This is a very nice original International Harvester Type L low tension rotary magnet as used on the ignitor fired 1 1/2 and 3hp IHC Type M engines as well as optional equipment on the small Famous engines. It is in outstanging original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of other than a slight crack on an ear of the housing which will affect nothing. It has almost no noticeable wear in the bearings and turns over smoothly with excellent magnetic pull. It has a very hot spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It has the early name band on it and flip cap oilers. I mounts with 2 holes 2 inches apart on center and the mounting threads are in great shape. It currently has a 30-tooth gear on it along with a dust shield for a 1 1/2hp engine but you could easily swap this for the gear of your needs. Will fit either of the 3 sizes of the over strike International type M throttle governed engines. Mounting holes from center to center is 2 1/2. Igniter seems to trip how it should. I don’t see why this part would not be ready to go to work other then maybe a little bit of cleaning to the points. I personally have not tested this item though and please take that into consideration. It’s one hundred years old and is certainly not new! Has the typical wear! Here is a nice looking IHC R magneto. It produces a very nice spark and has only a very minimal amount of wear. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. SPECIAL NOTE: This is a low tension magneto, it is meant to work with an igniter and will not produce at spark that will jump an air gap. It will not work with a spark plug. The spark it produces can be observed by rubbing a wire from the terminal against the case of the mag while turning the shaft. It does have to be timed to the engine. 3/8 shaft for gear mounting. The mounting holes have perfect threads. Only a very minimal amount bearing wear can be felt. I think this mag is ready to start and run your engine. For questions 419 789 1159. I think I list items very accurately but my opinion on condition may differ from yours. In my opinion this is a great magneto. If you have any questions about how to use it on your engine please ask.
