Small Ideal Air Cooled Hit Miss Farm. Gas Engine Mfg Lansing MI. Here is a nice old Ideal Hit Miss Gas Engine. Made in Lansing Michigan. I have included many photos to show its nice older restored condition. I have not run the engine in a while. It will probably need new gas. Coil and battery not included. Flywheels turn with no wobble or run out. I do not see any cracks or breaks. The motor has good compression. This cute little engine with 10 inch flywheels will. Make a fine addition to your collection. Please call if you need additional information. If you have any problems with your item. The engine can be picked up in person. We are located in southeast Michigan(48117), just north of Toledo Ohio. Our local Fastenal is in Monroe Michigan, zip code 48162. It can be stored here until picked up. This unit retains all the mounting brackets to attach the reel mower to the front and would make a wonderful project for anyone who is an antique lawn mower enthusiast. This sale Does NOT include the reel mower! The hand built custom sulky is unique- makes for a great buggy to ride around on at engine shows sporting some awesome heavy cast iron wheels! The Ideal engine is a neat little 3/4 HP hit & miss! It has great compression! I had this unit running earlier this spring- two flips of the flywheel and it was running! One day it quit and now I cannot get it to start. I think the magneto needs a rebuild and a new set of points and that would solve the problem. It should be an easy fix. The mag has been removed since the photos were taken- ready for a rebuild! All of the gears and chain (crude one speed forward transmission) are in great shape and so is the clutch. Clutching is done via tightening a flat leather belt. All in all this a fantastic example of an early lawnmower! I have a few extra spark plugs that will go with this sale as well. For sale is an Ideal Gas hit and miss engine. It is the rare 3/4 hp. It is air cooled and has the oiler include. It is in very good solid condition and looks to be complete. Had it for 3 years but never tried to get it running. Was always stored under cover. Would be a great engine for someone to take to shows. I have the right to end early as I have it for sale locally.
