This is a rather hard to find original Webster magneto for an ignitor fired hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is as close to New Old Stock as you could hope to find and if it was used it wasn’t used very much at all! It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is a model L with 3 magnets. The magneto mounts on a 2 inch square pattern and was used on many gas engines of the day. There is almost no noticeable wear in the bearings. I checked it just before I took the pictures and it puts out a nice, hot, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is set up properly. There is very little wear on the trip finger. The threads in the mounting holes are in great shape and have the original studs in them yet. It has the original name band on it yet. If you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It is probably the cleanest and sharpest original Webster I’ve ever owned or offered. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up! It would also make a great spare on the shelf. Let the pictures be your guide. You won’t be disappointed in any way. This is an extremely hard to find original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for vertical International Harvester hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs except for the recent JB Weld type repair on the roller bracket. This is hard to notice and could easily be recasted if you so choose. It is bracket number G-6665 and has the IHC logo cast into it. I’ve had a few of these over the years and this is the first one I’ve ever seen with an IHC part number on it. It mounts with two holes 3 inches apart on center. This bracket will fit the 2 and 3hp vertical engines and possibly the 5 and 6hp vertical engines but please measure your engine to be sure it fits your application. The magneto mounts on a 2 3/16 x 2 13/16 inch pattern so it would take a Webster JZ magneto. Everything moves and functions as it should. There is very little wear on the movable shaft and very little wear on the points. I believe it’s ready to be used on an engine or put on the shelf for a spare. This is an EXTREMELY hard to find original cast iron low tension ignition coil for a Stickney hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent original condition as can be seen and retains some of the original blue paint. The knife switch works as it should. It is part number 1785. It mounts on top of the crankcase with two holes 4 inches apart on center and I believe it fits all sizes of Stickney engines. Please measure your engine or consult your parts book to be sure it fits your application. It will also work for other ignitor fired engines but is a factory Stickney coil. I checked it just before I took the pictures and it put out a spark like you are welding! These coils hardly ever turn up in the wild or even at swap meets so if you need one don’t miss your chance on it! It’s ready to go to work running an engine or it would also make a great spare on the shelf. The pictures tell the story. This is an extremely hard to find original Webster magneto for an ignitor fired hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is a model PY with 3 magnets. The magneto mounts on a 2 7/16 x 2 13/16 inch bolt pattern and was used on larger gas engines of the day. There is almost no noticeable wear in the bearings. I checked it just before I took the pictures and it puts out a nice, hot, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is set up properly. There is very little wear on the trip finger. The threads in the mounting holes need attention in at least two of them. Two still have the studs in and may be usable but you may want to helicoil them as well. It has the original name band on it yet. It has a slight crack in one of the endplates that some space age adhesive should remedy pretty easily. It also has a chipped ear on that same endplate. It also needs a leadout cover. I’m pretty sure the endplates and leadout covers are the same as the Webster JY magnetos. It has new springs on it. These large PY magnetos are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets. I’ve only owned 3 of them in 20+ years. If you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up! It would also make a great spare on the shelf. Let the pictures be your guide. It needs a roller bracket and springs which are available rather inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. I checked it just before I took the pictures and it puts out a nice, hot, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is set up properly. There is very little wear on the trip finger. The threads in the mounting holes are in great shape and have the original studs in them yet. It needs a new name band but those are available from several of the hobby suppliers as well.
