This is a VERY hard to find original Eisemann CM-4 base mount magneto. It was used on some early Caterpillar tractors and portable engines and possibly had other 4-cylinder applications. It is in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It is clockwise rotation and the impulse works as it should. Everything seems to work as it should. It turns over nicely with very little bearing wear. It has good magnetism and puts out a spark on all 4 leadouts. It would likely benefit from a good cleaning and/or a new condenser. Everything inside the top cover looks to be in great shape. It mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern and also on a 2 x 3 1/2 inch pattern and the mounting threads are in great shape. These original Eisemann CM-4 magnetos are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one for an authentic restoration here’s a really nice one. This is an original and estate fresh early Economy 2 1/2hp Model E hit and miss gas engine. It is in decent condition for its age but does have some battle scars as can be seen. The head has some old repairs and will need attention. The engine turns over as it should and almost everything interacts as it should. Everything is free on the engine except the valves. They move but are very stiff and will need to be removed for attention. The mixer has an extra hole in the back of it that will likely need to be filled. The engine is missing the Webster magneto and the ignitor bracket has been drilled for a spark plug. There is a slight crack on the side of the water jacket that I’ve pointed out and may need attention but probably won’t leak. The original gas tank looks quite solid. It has some original red paint in places as can be seen. In general this engine just needs a good going through and should be a pretty straightforward project! It’s a good chance to get into a true hit and miss engine at ground level. I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Baraboo,, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. This is an old Webster Model K 2-bar or magnet magneto for an old hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is fresh from an old collectors estate and will need some minor attention at the least to be used. It has a brass body which is so much better than the diecast base versions. It is missing some small parts and fasteners as can be seen. It mounts on a 2 x 2 inch square pattern and all four of the mounting holes are in great shape with the original studs in them yet. It has almost no noticeable wear in the bearings. It has a chipped oiler hole on the front cover which can be seen in the pictures. I checked it and it does have a weak spark would likely benefit from a good cleaning and magnet charge. The trip finger is in great shape with very little wear. This would be a good usable magneto with just a little elbow grease. Let the pictures be your guide and decide if you need it. This is a pretty nice original American Bosch FX1 ED1 high tension magneto for an old engine. It was factory equipment on some of the International Harvester Type M engines. The bearings have almost no noticeable wear and it turns over very smoothly with good magnetic pull. It is in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of other than the name band which I believe are available as reproductions and the bail that holds the points cover on. It puts out a pretty good blue spark that should run an engine if it is set up properly with the addition of the correct gear for your application. It could also be cleaned up a bit for a possibly hotter spark. It has the original points cover and everything inside is in great shape. It mounts on a 1 7/8 x 3 3/8 pattern. These original Bosch FX1 magnetos are getting tougher to find every day so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It would also make a great spare on the shelf. This is a rather scarce size 7hp Ottawa hopper cooled hit and miss gas engine. It is a bit of a project but what’s there is in pretty decent shape. It turns over as it should. It appears to have the original belt pulley on it. There is some recent weld on the water jacket which needs to be ground down and two very old repairs on the ignition trip parts. One of the push rod holders is cracked but otherwise there are no other cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. The hopper is just sitting on the cylinder. With the addition of the front end parts this should make a pretty good engine! I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Baraboo,, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. This is a VERY hard to find early cast iron Madison Kipp single feed lubricator used on early steam engines and other pieces of machinery. It is in great condition for its age with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It has some wear and old oil and dirt on it. Everything turns as it should and it seems to pump as it should. It has the original cover with the patent dates on it. It is missing one of the ratchet fingers but the other one is there for a pattern to reproduce. The insides look to be in great shape but could use some cleaning. It mounts with one hole on the L-casting on the bottom. It measures about 4 x 6 1/4 x 11 1/4 inches tall overall. It has the original lever and priming crank on it as can be seen. These early cast iron Madison Kipp lubricators are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one for an authentic restoration don’t miss your chance on this one. This is a pretty decent old 1 1/2hp Hercules hit and miss gas engine. It is in good shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than a missing choke plate. It appears that restoration was started as seen by the primer but the green paint is original paint. I’m not sure if the original paint is under the primer but I suspect it is. It is quite smooth like the flywheels. The valves have been redone but need to be lapped in. The head gasket and ignitor gaskets are new. The magneto and ignitor have good spark. It turns over as it should and there is very little wear on the gearing. It needs the rod bearing taken up but there are shims to remove. The original crank guard is on it. It will need a gas tank and a muffler as can be seen but these are available rather inexpensively as reproductions. With just a little effort this will be a really nice engine. It basically needs a going through. I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Baraboo,, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year.
