Webster ignitor bractket for hit miss engine. Bracket is in good condition and ready to use. Fits Aeromotor 8 cycle. Magneto bolt pattern 1 1/2″ X 2″. 1 7/8 mounting holes center to center. This is an extremely hard to find original ignitor for an International Harvester 1hp Famous or Titan hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It mounts with two 11/32 inch holes 2 3/16 inches apart on center. Please measure your engine or consult your parts book to be be sure it fits your application. Everything moves and functions as it should. There is some very minor wear on the movable shaft and trip finger and very little wear on the points. I believe it’s ready to be used on an engine or put on the shelf for a spare. If you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up! Let the pictures be your guide. You won’t be disappointed in any way. This is an old 1 1/2hp International Harvester Type M gas engine. It has been in a collection for many years. It will need a full restoration and is missing some parts as you can see. The head has a broken push rod holder but the piece is in the hopper. It also has a broken governor yoke and repaired pulley side flywheel. There is also a slight crack on the air intake. There is no piston in it but a connecting rod and cap are included. The flywheels turn as they should. It would be a pretty straightforward project and M parts are quite readily available. Here is a pretty nice old International Harvester 4hp Famous hit and miss gas engine. It is fresh from an old collection where it lived for many years. It is in good shape for it’s age but does have some common minor issues that Famous engines usually have. It has a repair on the bottom of the head and on the exhaust flange that could be dressed down and look good. There is a braze on the fuel pump link that could also be hidden. There is a hole in the top of the hopper which doesn’t affect anything but is there and needs to be pointed out. The cam gear has some cracks in it (none on the diameter) but is still tight on the cam shaft and has run like this for many years. The engine turns over nicely with great compression and everything seems to move and function as it should. The flywheels run true and the engines runs on gas in the bowl of the mixer. There is very little wear on the gearing or the main bearings. It is an earlier engine with the IHC name cast in the side of the hopper. It has the original belt pulley and serial tag on it. It sits on some nice oak skids that are about the right length to add the seat/battery box correct for the Famous engines. It’s not a perfect engine but could be perfect with just a little elbow grease and a few additions. It would be a fine addition to your hit and miss engine collection or International Harvester Famous lineup. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it. This is an extremely hard to find original ignitor for a 6, 8, and 10hp International Harvester Famous or Titan hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in good original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It mounts with two 1/2 inch holes 1 7/8 inches apart on center. This ignitor will fit the 6, 8, and 10hp and possibly other sizes but please measure your engine to be sure it fits your application. It may also fit other engines. The points look to be in usable shape. There is a little wear on the movable shaft and some pitting on the body but with just a little elbow grease this should be able to be put into service. Everything moves as it should and the springs are in great shape, possibly new. These ignitors are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. Here is a pretty decent old International Harvester 6hp Type M gas engine. It is a throttle governed engine. It is in decent condition and should be a pretty straightforward project. It is missing the fuel mixer and ignitor along with some smaller items like the throttle rod and linkage. It turns over nicely and has very little wear in the cylinder. The head has two old weld repairs on it that likely could be dressed down a bit. The fuel pump is broken and will need to be welded but the plunger moves as it should. It has the original IHC Type R magneto on it. The inside of the crankcase is good and greasy and the original gas tank appears to be quite solid and likely usable. With some elbow grease this should make a pretty good engine! It would be a fine addition to your early hit and miss engine collection or International Harvester lineup. The pictures tell the story. Here is a pretty nice old 2 1/4hp Associated Hired Man hit and miss gas engine. It is fresh from an old collection where it lived for many years. It is in great shape with no cracks, breaks or repairs other than the missing speed changing screw and some heavy solder and a new filler neck on the original embossed gas tank. This could be cleaned up a bit and look a little more presentable if you so choose. It turns over nicely with decent compression and everything seems to move and function as it should. There is very little wear on the gearing or in the bearings. It is an earlier engine with the straight ignitor trip and I don’t think it ever had a magneto on it. It has the original belt pulley and name tag on it. I think with a little fresh gas and a battery and coil this engine would fire right up and make noise. This is one of the harder to find Associated sizes. It would be a fine addition to your early hit and miss engine collection or Associated lineup. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it. Here is a pretty nice old 1 1/2hp John Lauson Model W hit and miss gas engine. It is fresh from an old collection where it lived for many years. It is in great shape with no cracks, breaks or repairs other than an old repair on the ignitor trip block and part of the serial tag missing. It turns over nicely with good compression. There seems to be very little wear on the gearing or in the bearings. It has a very unique fuel mixer or carburetor on it which was only on the earliest Model W engines. It has the original pulley and crankguard on it. It is also ignitor fired which makes it a bit unusual. It has the original gas tank in between the original skids. I think there’s a good amount of original paint under the repaint if you’d choose to unrestore the engine. I think with some fresh gas and a battery and coil this engine would fire right up. It would be a fine addition to your early hit and miss engine collection or Lauson display. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it.
